First, let’s get some background on what the FIM Motocross World Championship is. The FIM Motocross World Championship – ‘MXGP’ – has been showcasing the very fastest off-road motorcycle racers from across the globe for over sixty years and since earning that ‘FIM’ international stamp in 1957. The series has grown, modified and expanded to become one of the biggest in the FIM canon and covers multiple continents as well as drawing professional athletes from the USA to Australia. Comprising two principal classes – the premier MXGP division of 450cc four-strokes and MX2 of 250cc engines and an age ceiling of 23 years to encourage and elevate the best young prospects – MXGP also has a fiercely competitive European series as part of the support card and the FIM Women’s World  Championship running concurrently at six events.
