An AMERICAN CITIZEN?

It doesn’t get much more American than this; a guy wearing his USA tee shirt, polishing his hot rod at a July 4th car show. Some of the more observant readers might say “ but Tom, that’s an Anglia, a British made car that he’s polishing. But I say the Immigration Law of 1968 clearly states that if a British car is owned for by the same American citizen for 40 years than that car becomes an AmericanCar.

Well the Anglia became an AmericanCar lart year, since American citizens Mary Ann and Jr. Gamble have owned the car for 41 years. The stats on Jr.’s Anglia and Mary Ann’s Nova, as provided by Mary Ann, are shown below.

THE ANGLIA IS A 350 CHEVY , 30 OVER ANGLE PLUG HEADS.

IT HAS A 350 TURBO TRANSMISSION. 4 WHEEL POWER DISC BRAKES, VINTAGE HEAT & AIR. WE HAVE OWNED THE CAR 41 YEARS. IT HAS WON MANY AWARDS SINCE CHANGING IT OVER FROM THE DRAG STRIP TO THE STREET.

THE NOVA IS A 327 CHEVY WITH A RV CAM. IT HAS A 700R4 TRANSMISSION.

CUSTOM DOLPHIN GAUGES, AMERICAN RACING WHEELS. IT HAS WON AWARDS SEVERAL TIMES FOR BEST PAINT. IN 2010 IT WAS RUNNER UP AT THE SUPER CHEVY NATIONALS IN PIGEON FORGE,TN.

MENICA WAS A LITTLE RECALCITRANT — 2011 Rumble

Menica was recalcitrant or maybe dubious about having her picture taken by AmericanCarsAmericanGirls.com. Despite her hesitation we were able to get some really cute pictures of Menica with a 1966 Nova. Joe Robinson is the owner of the 1966 Nova wagon and of Bootleg Brand T-shirts. The Nova is a 1966, 283ci with a powerglide transmission and factory air. The Nova looks like it was pretty much original. Joe has owned the car for the last 32 years. Bootleg Brands was the concessionaire of the Tee shirts at the Rumble. Menica was associated in some way with Joe. I’m thinking daughter. Anyway the whole crew had come in from Canton N.C.. Menica listed nurse as her occupation.

HEATHER and Hasty’s Car

Heather and her boyfriend had come in from Cincinnati. Heather’s boyfriend made my day. As I was taking pictures of Heather with the cool cars he said ”Man I wish I had your job”. Heather is gorgeous and definitely has posing ability. I especially love the pouty pictures. Heather listed her job as Office Manager. All the cars in the pictures were for sale by Hasty’s Car Co. out of Bluebell, Oh.. www.hastyscarcountry.com. The Camaro and Nova are Yenko clones and the 2nd generation Camaro is as stock from the factory
