ED BARRETT’S 1963 STUDEBAKER AVANTI

The Avanti was a really great car that was poorly put into plan. The very modern design and high output engine 289 ci/240hp (for the era) seemed to insure this car would be success. However fit and finish problems with the fiber glass body caused long production delays that ultimately led to the demise of the Avanti after only two short years of production. Ed’s Avanti is one of the best that remains, period. It is original as it came off of the production line except for restored paint and chrome. Ed’s Avanti has one several national awards.

Ok you see the picture, what else can I say. Michelle makes Kim Kardashian look a plain Jane. Michelle was at the show with her Dad. Their family had recently moved in from Missouri where Michelle had just received her master’s-degree in fashion merchandising. Michelle is posing with Kent and Trudy Dinnhaupt’s 1992 Cobra kit car and there is one picture with Michelle with her Dad’s 2006 C6 Corvette, more on the Cobra in the next post.
