LORI WAS ONE OF THOSE. NOT! — 20114th

Lori was one of those kind of girls who says “I don’t know about this”. We have a lot of those kind girls but once they start posing they have a lot of fun . Lori was not one of those girls. All through the shoot we were verbally sparing. Lori telling me why she shouldn’t be posing and me telling her why she should. I won cause I got the pictures and she looks hot just like I told her she did. But she’d probably argue about that.

Lori’s brother-in-law Bill Fox owns the 2004 Mach 1  Mustang. Bill said his Mustang was 1 of only 697 Artic White Mach 1s  made in 2004.

Well she was waiting on someone and I got there first. I got a glimpse of Nicole sitting in a little diner that was on the town square. I made a quick turnaround went in the diner and told Nicole about AmericanCarsAmericanGirls and she said ‘’ok’’.  After finding the Mustang and Nicole hit her first pose I was ecstatic that I had gotten there first.

Classic Restoration’s 1970 Mustang

The Good Guys events are open to any American vehicle made prior to 1972. That being said the shows are dominated by street rods and GM muscle cars. The Ford and MOPAR muscle cars are not well represented. I looked really hard to find a Mustang and when I did it was worth the effort. Classic Restorations out of Floyds Knobs, In. had brought in a stunning 1970 Mustang Fastback. The particulars being a Ford 460 c.i. crate engine and 5 sp manual transmission. I would describe the car as subtle over the top.

I was on the prowl for a great looking girl that would compliment Classic Restorations Mustang Fastback. Working against me was that this was one of those hot Nashville days, something like 96 degrees, 70% humidity and not a hint of breeze. By 2:00 pm everyone was hot, sweaty, and looking worn out. Even the great ones were looking raged. Then the sky’s parted and ERIN appeared. She was walking and looking like it was 76 degrees with a nice cool breeze. Luckily for me she said ‘’sure’’. She quickly hit some stunning poses and then just kept on walking like it was a walk in the park on a cool summers’ eve.

As interesting as Walt’s Mustang is I think Walter’s war story is much more interesting and important than his car so let’s cover that first. Walter is a Vietnam Vet. I think Vietnam Vets talk with other Vietnam Vets about their time and duties in Vietnam quite candidly and proudly and can be therapeutic. To a civilian, like me, the Vietnam Vets become cautious and vague about their Vietnam experience because they know civilians just can’t understand the hell they went through and the hell they sometimes had to inflict to survive and do their duty

I asked Walter about his Vietnam experience and this is what he told me. ‘’I get that question a lot because of my backseat and (license) tag.  Some folks ask how long were you there and I always say a year and three days you would have to had been there to understand the meaning of the answer (three days longer than I wanted to be there).   The next question asked is what did you do?  I could go on for day about what I did but the bottom line is I was part of unit that rained down death and destruction to our enemy.  We were very precise and deliberate and received an Outstanding Unit Metal and three Presidential Citations metals for our work.  It is hard for me to bring up this subject because it is hard on my heart and head to recall the things we did and saw.  On the other side I helped save the lives of some of my brothers and that gives me some peace.’’

Thanks goodness America has warriors like Walter!

What else would make Walter’s Mustang look better —KIMBERLY

I love this picture. The simplicity and innocence of Kimberly’s pose next to the tricked out Mustang is a synergistic thing of beauty. The only thing that might have made it better is if Kimberly’s identical twin sister Kayla would have been along to be in the picture. Kimberly will be a sophomore at Farragut High School. She was at the show with her Dad. Back in her Dad’s garage is a 1959 Corvette, 1968 Corvette, and a 1968 Z28 Camaro. I don’t see the girls getting any of those cars when they turn sixteen

Terry and his wife brought their striking 1996 Mustang in from Cleveland Tn. The special thing about the 1996 models is that although they are a 4th generation Mustang it was the first year for the 4.6 liter SOHC, 32 valve engine. I guess mods rule but it’s nice to see a guy keep a super clean car stock from the factory. The wheels/tires are not stock

TAYLOR, her FAMILY, and her ’06 MUSTANG GT

Taylor and family left their home in Fair Play, S.C. at 6:00 AM driving both their ’06 Mustang GT and ’96 Camaro Z28. Their intent was to sell one of both of the cars at the Rod Run.  I’m not sure what the contingency plans were if they sold both cars. The Mustang is/was Taylor’s car and Taylor’s dad Russ said it was too much car for Taylor. Here’s where it gets a little murky for me because Taylor seemed really excited about getting her car sold. I’m sure Taylor was getting another car but what could be better for Taylor than a red Mustang GT convertible. Mom, Bridget and brother Keelan also made the trip. Please note the ground effects kit on the Mustang. There aren’t any seams. That because Russ fiber glassed in all the seams, sanded and blended in all the paint.  Pretty impressive!

The Speedster is owned by Clyde Bales of Supertoys out of Chattanooga.  I did some research on the Speedster and everything on Supertoys’ window sticker is accurate but they left out the best part. The engine is supercharged by a RouschCharger and makes 435 hp and has a five speed automatic transmission.

I was looking for a great looking girl to pose with the Speedster and I turned around and Kayla just about ran over me. She hesitantly agreed to help me but I could tell she didn’t think she was hot. Hopefully when she sees her pictures she’ll realize just how gorgeous she is. Kayla is from Burnsville, N.C. and is studying to be a R.N..
