CECILIA the TOTALLY AWESOME FIREBIRD GIRL

I was fortunate to be able to photograph Cecilia at the 2009 Pontiacs at Pigeon Forge2 event. I was so hoping that she would be at the 2010 event. The girl can hit some really sexy poses and had fun doing it. Thankfully my anticipation was short lived. I spotted her and her new husband’s show winning 2002 WS6 T/A. parked in the spot closes to the entrance. If you want to know more on Cecilia and their WS6 check out the 09/09 issue of High Performance Pontiac. Cecilia’s husband Robbie said he had recovered the seats in ostrich leather over the winter. The ostrich leather was a new one on me but appeartently not that uncommon in the show car world.

Amanda and her Dad were strolling around the show checking out all the show cars when I approached Amanda about posing the WS6. She said “Sure” which actually is a very refreshing, confident answer. Amanda is from New Market Tn. where she is currently a sales associate for Lowes but is heading back to the University of Tennessee this fall to work on her Accounting degree. Amanda told me she has spent many of her Saturday nights watching her Dad race at the local dirt tracks in east Tennessee.

Amanda: super cute, smart, loves AmericanCars and a Daddy’s girls, sounds like a great combo to me.

The Lutterbles drove their stock WS6 in from Harrison, Ohio. The car was gorgeous with not a speck of dirt any where I could see. They must have gotten there early because they had a prime parking space that was going to stay shady all day. Back in Ohio were the other two Lutterble’s cars a 1979 T/A and a 1992 T/A convertible.

Heather is a contradiction: beautiful, sleek, lips to die for and yet when plays first base for her high school softball team. Pretty cool I think. Heather is pictured here with her Dad’s 1999 Pontiac Trans Am, Ram Air, WS6. Heather’s Dad was pleased with the T/A ‘s  third place finish in its class of eighteen cars. After high school Heather has collage and a career in interior decorating as long range plans.

Unless you’ve heard Ronnie and the Daytona’s song ‘’Lil GTO’’ you will never understand my attempt at the humor here.  Even those that have heard the song still may not get the attempt but if there is just one person who smiles I will feel that it was all worth my efforts. Anna came in for the show from Ashville, N.C. to support her grandfather who had a car at the show. Anna almost looks a little out of place at the Pontiac event in Pigeon Forge Tn. To me she has a Formula 1 race at Monte Carlo look going on.  Actually Anna was a little shy but the girls with her cheered her on and she ended up hitting some very sexy poses

The 1964 GTO was the was the work of Dwight Banks and his son-in-law Vince Medford from Banks Restoration GTOs Only.

The sun was too bright and I was hot and tired and honestly missed most of the shots of Anna and the GTO, my apologies to all.

Robbie’s Firebird was the feature car in the 09/09 issue of High Performance Pontiacs and winner of numerous first place trophies including Best in Show award at the prestigious 2009 Wide Track Warrior Show in Orlando Fl. The list of the work done to make his T/A the special car that it is is not in the scope of this site. Just get a copy of the 09/09 issue of HPP or go to their web site and you’ll be amazed and impressed.

This is a great little show that has been running for the last nine years. At least for the last year or so the event has been held at the Music Road Hotel and Convention Center. I like the venues that are close to civilization. It”s a good thing to have air conditioning, clean bathrooms and a decent restaurant that are not too far away. This year I was a little rushed because I was trying to get through with the Pontiac show in the morning and make a Mopar show in the afternoon, bad mistake for several reasons. Next year I”m bringing my chair, a cooler and setting up camp for the entire day on the neat little stream that runs next to the Pontiac event.
